Streets and Drainage is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 525 lane-miles of roadway including pavement, curb, ditches, right-of-way litter collection, special projects and street signage. Large quantity drainage structures and open ditches in the right-of-way and easements are also maintained.

Drainage Ditch Maintenance
In the month of July, Streets and Drainage completed planned maintenance projects that consisted of multiple repairs to roadways and drainage conveyances while also responding to over 165 work order requests that varied from the installation and repair of street signs to the repair of road surfaces.

Even though this summer has brought extreme temperatures and sweltering heat the Streets and Drainage crews continues to perform their mission on schedule, efficiently and effectively. The division works under the general direction of the Streets and Drainage Supervisor Bobby Kinney who coordinates the challenging daily work schedules of twenty-two employees.

Every year the Streets & Drainage Division is responsible for putting up and maintaining all of the Town's Christmas lights and decorations during the holiday season. The following pictures where taken by

during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony held on the Town Square.
