The Finance Department is responsible for managing all of the Town's fiscal affairs. This department supports the operating divisions through accounting, administrative services and financial reporting. The department manages all investments of the Town, handles capital project financing and collects taxes and other revenues. An independent firm selected by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen audits the financial records annually.
The Finance Department is also responsible for all billing and collection of revenues for the Town's water, sewer and sanitation services. The department provides specific services to the operating departments including payroll, inventory and fixed asset control, budgeting and financial reporting.
