What is Main Street Collierville?
The mission of Main Street Collierville is to preserve and enhance the Town Square area as the heart of Collierville; that communicates a sense of community pride, heritage, and small town wholesomeness; and provides for a successful business and residential environment.

Organized in 1991, Main Street Collierville is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting, preserving and enhancing the Historic Town Square and surrounding historic district. Main Street's staff, board of directors, and volunteers are committed to providing quality family-oriented community events while preserving the landmark that the citizens of Collierville treasure.

As a liaison between the town's public and private sectors, the organization's broad-based role includes:

  • Out to Lunch, Christmas in Collierville, Civil War Days

  • Developing and coordinating many community-based events such as the nationally-recognized Sunset on the Square Concert Series, the Partners in Preservation fundraising party and Santa Express. All events take place in and around the Town Square. Volunteer support is critical to the success of the events.

  • Coordinating the Collierville Heritage Education Program for local schools;

  • Working with the Town Square merchants, town officials, and Tennessee Department of Tourism to help promote the Square, surrounding historic district, and Collierville by publishing brochures, answering tourism requests, providing tours, writing press releases, and assisting with TV commercials and other media;

  • Conducting speaking engagements and maintaining communications with the Town officials, the Chamber of Commerce, the Historic District Merchants' Association, and other civic organizations;

  • Providing a leadership role in preservation and renovation of Town Square property;

  • Procuring funds to sponsor events.
