Public Notice Signs

I saw a notice Development Application Sign posted on a site. What does it mean?

To improve notice to the public for pending development projects, the Town of Collierville's Development Division posts a sign* on property when a Planned Development (PD) or a Rezoning is requested. These types of development applications are heard before the Planning Commission (PC), and later the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BMA). At least one formal public hearing will be held when the item appears before the BMA (see published agendas for exact dates). For more information about the project, contact the Project Planner listed below at 901-457-2360.
