In the state of Tennessee, residential property
is assessed at 25% of its appraised value.
Using a $100,000 residential property as an
example: 25% of $100,000 is $25,000
Collierville applies its tax rate to the assessed
value in multiples of 100.
The current tax rate is $1.28 per $100 of assessed
value.
To continue the example: $25,000/100=250
Town of Collierville taxes for the year are:
250 x $1.28 = $320.00
Residents
of Collierville also pay Shelby County taxes.
